For the past couple of weeks my hubby has been salvaging wood from job sites and bringing it home so that he can help our boys build a fort. This past weekend they set to work in spite of 100 degree temperatures:
It is awesome to see him taking the time to really teach tour boys the skills (and safety tips) needed to complete this project and make it last. God has been so good to lead him in placing tremendous importance on training our children to live life in a way that is pleasing to Him. Craig and I spent many years talking about this concept which, of course, never accomplishes anything. Only action on our parts can bring us closer to the good things God has for us. It is honestly amazing how much time and effort it takes to parent children in a way that equips them to meet life's challenges. If we don't teach them, who will?
They spent over 5 hours in the hot sun and this is their progress so far:
My main point in posting these pictures is to brag a little bit about my hubby. He is man who follows after God and desires to lead us, as a family, down the path that God directs. I am truly blessed that God chose to make me Craig's wife and our kids are blessed that he is their daddy. We love you, Honey!
