New Colors

New fabrics for a new quilt.

I have come to realize that when it comes to quilting, it is the colors that I enjoy and not so much the piecing of the quilt. Many years ago I knocked myself out trying to piece elaborate blocks, and I always found myself frustrated with myself and with my project. Now I gather lots of lovely colors and make something that is simple-to-piece, and I love the process as well as the outcome. In fact, while making my quilt I generally contemplate my next one--the colors, the pattern, the quilting. This is a good thing!
