Memorial Day

Today is a day to specifically remember and thank the men and women who have sacrificed themselves for our freedom. It is a day to remember that freedom is NOT free! Many have died so we could be free.

Today I am thinking of my sweet neighbor who's husband is serving in Iraq, while she is here living her daily life with her two small children. Honestly, I had never considered the sacrifice that a spouse and children make while their loved one is serving, before meeting Karrie. Even though she is a happy-go-lucky type of girl, I can see her struggle, her loneliness and her fear. It humbles me to know that I have ever taken this for granted.

Please take the time to remember and pray today.
